Reclaimed Praise is a developing collection of original congregational worship songs—written by queer and trans worship leaders for communities reclaiming their faith. These songs are designed to be sung together in churches, gatherings, and personal spaces of worship.

A VISION FOR INCLUSIVE PRAISE AND WORSHIP

Reclaimed Praise is led by queer and trans worship leaders creating music from the margins. We center the voices, stories, and spiritual journeys of those often excluded from traditional worship spaces—offering songs that affirm, heal, and make room for the fullness of who we are.

WHO WE ARE

We are actively developing a collection of original songs that honor both our cultural roots and our expansive faith. We’ve begun songwriting, collaborating with passionate artists, and laying the foundation for our next steps.

WHERE WE ARE NOW

We’re actively exploring avenues for funding—grants, partnerships, and community support—to bring these songs to life. As we progress, we’ll share updates and opportunities to connect and support our mission.

Why this exists

Why this exists

Reclaimed Praise began out of a real need. As worship leaders serving at a national gathering for LGBTQ+ Christians, we found ourselves navigating a limited pool of congregational music. Much of the worship music we had been formed by came from institutions that do not affirm our identities—spaces that have caused harm to many in our community.

Rather than continue resourcing from those systems, we began writing our own songs—music that reflects our theology, our lived experience, and our commitment to belonging. What started in the context of leading worship quickly became something more: a growing body of songs created for people reclaiming their faith.
